Hello, how lovely to see you here!
My name is Rae Rose, a UK based Illustrator, Surface Pattern Designer and Creative Director. My illustration and surface pattern design is inspired by the wild nature, folktales and folklore of the British Isles. I work predominately in graphite, hand drawing representational motifs with intricate detail and shading before working digitally to colour and finish my collections.
Since 1998 I have worked in a number of trend led senior design and creative roles in global brand design, beauty, fashion and retail sectors. I am available for commission of surface pattern design, illustration and product design through art licensing and freelance client project work. You can find out a little more about me here, or contact me to discuss your next surface pattern project.
Below is a selection of my recent pattern collections, and the trends that inspired them.
